Masthead

Party at All Saints Lutheran Church - 12/15/10

T'was the night before the concert

T'was the night before the concert
And all through the Chorale
Not a Senior was singing...
Hey, where's our morale?

The sopranos were sitting all in a stoop
Their heads were hung low
And their voices were mute.
The tenors were slumped all over the floor
Their faces... you couldn't see any more.

The booming basses weren't booming at all
They just sat there like bugs on a wall.
The altos, so mellow and sweet,
Just sat there, looking at their feet.

When all of a sudden, we heard a loud click...
We knew in a moment, it must be St. Nick
When, lo, and behold
We looked out the door....

And there was a "Spark".....
a 'dancin' on the floor.
Tall and lean, with a gleam in his eye,
He looked us all over and gave a big sigh.
To the top of the stage, he leaped with a bound...

He raised his baton
To hear a melodious sound.
But, alas, no sound did he hear
No one was paying attention, I fear.

Hey, we're not a cappella, you know
We need our notes to go on with this show.
Then we all heard a plink, plank, plunk
And there was our Paula with lots of spunk.

Fingers were flying everywhere,
And the notes could be heard in the air.
We raised our voices loud and clear
And sang with such style and cheer.

So, you see, we need 2 Sparks
To go on with this show
We can't do it without you
We want you to know!!!!!

Thanks for your talent and all of your time
Happy cheers to you all....the end of my rhyme.

Happy Chorale to all and to all a Good Night!!
